WOW I FORGOT ABOUT THIS!!!
I completely forgot that I had even set this thing up. Someone tried posting a spam comment on here and I received an email about it. WOW>.....lets see last entry I made was back in March of 2007. At that time I was like 2 month pregnant with my TS surrogate baby.
Fast forward-----Baby Kyle was born October 12th 2007 in Sioux City, Iowa. I had a csection. My IM jan was by my side the entire time. It was the most AMAZING experience ever. I will never ever forget it. My IF Doug came on the following day. He has some work issues come up and wasn't able to be there the day of the birth.
Kyle is now 11 months old. Crazy that time has flown that fast. He is a beautiful little boy and I receive monthly updates and pictures. Its great and I know that for the rest of my life, I will have a special bond with that family. And I can stand up and be proud that I achomplished something that not many people can say they have done. Its an amazing feeling and a great experience.
In December of 2007, I decided to go on another journey! I matched almost immediately with a couple from IOWA!!! In March we headed to the clinic and the dr gave us the OK!!!
But-------a week later VT, the company I had been with for almost 3 years, fired me. They claimed I had taken off too much work, however, the main reason was the surrogacy. It was a horrible experience. One that as I sit here and type, I look back on and realize why I had to go through it.
I now work for a company in Holstein called Galva-Holstein Ag. They are great. I only work part-time which is perfect cause I get to spend tons of time with my kiddos. Damon is now in school almost full time. He goes every day in the morning. Next year, he will be totally ready for kindergarten. Lili is also now attending preschool in the afternoons 2 days a week. She really enjoys it and I can tell its helping with her social skills and her growing up.
I am on the Daycare board. We are currently trying to apply for a huge grant, one that I really hope we get so we can build a new daycare center for the kids here in Ida Grove. I know it will be hard, and a battle for sure, but I know that as a team, we can do this.
I am going to try and write every day. I know this is my surrogacy blog, but I need to be able to write every day. I have so many thoughts in my head, and I think the best thing for me, is to get them out instead of just holding on to them all.
After being home for so long, I have regained the weight I loss after having Kyle. Its hard to see it cause I know I did this to myself. However, I have now gotten myself into the mindset that life is once again back on track. So I have set goals, and know what I have to do in order to achieve them.
I hope that you all can stay in touch and read this. Comment please, I would love it! Shows that someone is paying attention anyways LOL
